    URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE WILL BE THE THEME OF THE SECOND SECTORIAL EVENT AT CASA RIO

    The ten-year plan adopted by Detroit after declaring bankruptcy in 2013 that allowed for the investment of US$ 1.4 billion into recovering the city is one of the cases to be presented at the Casa Rio Infrastructure conference, on May 30, at Museu do Amanhã. The conference will be conducted by Kevyn Orr, who was the Emergency Manager of the City of Detroit. In addition to Orr, the president and CEO of CG/LA Infrastructure, Norman Anderson, will discuss accelerating investments in Brazil.

    To present their views on the future of infrastructure, Casa Rio will also feature the Mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, and the president of the Interamerican Development Bank (BID), Luis Alberto Moreno, at the opening of the event.

    The panelists – investors, entrepreneurs, financiers, legal representatives – will also debate formats alternative to public-private partnerships in order to invest in infrastructure in Brazil; as well as the interest by foreign investors.
