Suzano Signs Equipment Contracts for Brazil Paper and Pulp Plant

    Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SUZB5), the Brazilian pulp and paper company, will buy power generation equipment worth as much as $50 million from Siemens AG for a factory it’s planning in the north eastern state of Maranhao.

    Two generators will provide electricity to run the facility’s operations, Suzano said in a filing today. About 100 megawatts of capacity will sell to the grid, according to the statement.
