    RIO DE JANEIRO’S POTENTIAL AS A FASHION CAPITAL WILL BE THE THEME OF CASA RIO – BUSINESS OF FASHION

    The Business of Fashion conference of Casa Rio, the most extensive business program ever conducted in the country, will discuss Rio de Janeiro’s potential as a capital for the sector in the country, as well as the necessary measures to develop the industry in Brazil.

    The conference, scheduled for June 27, at Museu do Amanhã, will be divided into two major themes for discussion. The first theme will be the role of public and private institutions in promoting the local fashion industry and will feature Caroline Rush, executive director of the British Fashion Council, as a keynote speaker. Rush, who heads the British agency since 2009, has transformed Great Britain’s fashion industry into an internationally recognized stable of new talent.

    The impact of the fourth industrial revolution and the innovations pushing the fashion industry forward will be the second major theme of the event. Professor Flavio Bruno, author of the book “The Fourth Industrial Revolution on the textile and confeccion sector: A view into the future of 2030″, will be the keynote speaker for the panel. On the agenda, new digital platforms that decentralize production, promotion and commercialization of fashion.

    The conference will also feature the participation of executives from international investment promotion and attraction institutions focused on fashion, representatives from local and global supply chains, as well as authorities in charge of formulating public policies.
