The second edition of BIO Latin America, the largest biotechnology conference in the continent, will take place in Rio de Janeiro between October 14 and 16, at the Sheraton Rio Hotel.

Executives, academics and investors from all over the world will gather to discuss current trends and challenges faced by the industry, as well as watch presentations from the main companies and conduct networking sessions to identify investment opportunities in this emerging market. The conference also offers a private meeting service, scheduled in advance, between high-ranking executives.

The 2015 BIO Latin America will also have the Abiquim Technology and Innovation Seminar taking place in tandem with the conference, consolidating the partnership initiated in 2014 between the Brazilian Chemical Industry Association (Abiquim), the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) and Biominas. One of the new features this year is that those attending either the seminar or the conference will have full access to all rooms and panels, and be able to take full advantage of participating in the proposed discussions.

The event, organized by the BIO – the sector’s most prominent trade association – in partnership with Biominas, was created to meet a demand for top-level biotech conferences in the Latin American market, which is undergoing rapid growth.

Registrations are available at the event’s official website.
