Rio de Janeiro prepares to initiate the most extensive business program ver conducted in Brazil. Next week, on March 17, Casa Rio will begin its activities to take advantage of the final window of exposure during the city’s Olympic cycle. For six months there will be conferences, business rounds and presentations on business opportunities in the city, adding up to over 40 events focused on attracting investments.
In addition to the volume of information in which it presents the new business environment of Rio de Janeiro to investors, innovators, authorities and financiers, Casa Rio will also offer a soft landing service for companies looking to experiment the city during its first months of operations.
“In six months we intend on presenting the new environment and new business opportunities in Rio de Janeiro to 2.800 decision makers from 800 companies and, with that, attract up to 40 projects in the next two years”, evaluates Marcelo Haddad, president of Rio Negócios, the city’s investment promotion agency, which is responsible for conceiving and executing the Casa Rio project.
Casa Rio will have its conferences scheduled from March to September, at Museu do Amanhã, already an icon of the city. The focus of the conferences will be themes related to energy, hospitality, life sciences, infrastructure, technology, financial services and creative industry, areas in which there has been interest from investors who came to Rio in the past year. The presentations on business environment and opportunities for foreign delegations, as well as the soft landing service will be developed at the Rio de Janeiro Commercial Association headquarters.
