Rio as a global sports hub is the theme of Casa Rio – Business of Sport

What it takes for Rio to become a global sports hub is the main theme of the fourth sectorial conference of Casa Rio, the most extensive business development program in the country.

The event, on July 25, at Museu do Amanhã, will be divided into two major themes for debate. The first session will discuss what constitutes a global sports hub and what is the potential for Rio de Janeiro and Brazil to reach such status, with representatives of multinational multimedia corporations, sports marketing agencies and organizers of major events constituting the panel.

The second session will have as its theme the impact the status of global sports hub has on a city’s business. The panel will have the presence of companies which sponsor sporting events, as well as sports marketing agencies discussing new opportunities created by the sector, in addition to the positive effect on already established companies.
