Grant, the Grants.gov help chatbot, was created to answer users' most frequently asked questions (FAQs). Grants through this program are available to members of the Native American tribes that came in contact with the Lewis and Clark Expedition between 1803-1806. FEL is committed to raising awareness of endangered languages throughout the world and supporting their revitalisation and preservation. SMALL GRANTS (SG) SG's can be used for a range of purposes related to the documentation of endangered languages, such as to carry out fieldwork, develop a pilot project, or complete a project already begun. We provide grants for the linguistic documentation of endangered languages worldwide. The Living Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated solely to the documentation, maintenance, and revitalization of endangered languages globally. Anybody with qualifications in linguistic language documentation can apply as we have no restrictions on the nationality of the applicant or on the location of the host institution. The languages included in this project and the information displayed about them are provided by the Catalogue of Endangered Languages (ELCat), produced by the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and Eastern Michigan University, with funding provided by the U.S. National Science Foundation (Grants #1058096 and #1057725) and the Luce Foundation, and supported by a team of global experts. Funding is available in the form of one- to three-year senior research grants and conference proposals.
