China’s main smartphone manufacturer arrives in Brazil this year

    Xiaomi, the main band for smartphones and tablets in China, hás announced that it will enter the Brazilian market in 2015. The move is part of their expansion strategy for the global market. In an official statement, the company said that it is analyzing the market and planning their entrance for this year. This global expansion plan comes after a round of funding totaling USD 1.1 billion in December of 2014, bringing the company’s value up to USD 45 billion.

    The company is well known for their featured line of low cost smartphones, popular in China. Patent restrictions have stopped Xiaomi from lauching products in the US and European markets, making the company focus on other markets. “Developing countries remain our market focus in 2015”, informs the company in their official statement.
