The fourth installment of Casa Rio, the most extensive business development program in the country, shines a light on Creative Economy by focusing on developing Business of Fashion. Executives from international investment promotion institutions in the fashion industry, companies, organizations representing local and international production chains, as well as public policy makers will be gathered at Museu do Amanhã on June 27 to discuss the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the strengthening of the Brazil brand in the sector.
According to Marcelo Haddad, president of Rio Negócios, the fashion industry is an economic vocation for Rio and Brazil, and the event should work to unite the production chain in a debate on which actions should be taken in order to stimulate the sector.
“Our idea is to manage that, during the event, representatives of the sector can set a course of actions and public policies which can strengthen the Brazil brand, as well as prepare our industry’s insertion into this new era of wearable technology and 3D printing”, explains Marcelo.
Also on the agenda are questions as to creating a fashion hub for globalization in Brazil; as well as the impact of digital platforms that decentralize fashion promotion and commercialization.
